What is your mission in life?

Every person and object exist to fulfill their purpose.
A tea cup is made to hold tea, a house is built to shelter man - we do not mix up their role and function, else they lose their meaning and purpose of their existence.

In the same way, when we do not discover our purpose of our existence or mission, we will find that we become easily distracted and distracted in life. We cannot focus in what we do because we cannot fit ourselves in what we do fully.

For cell group this week, we talk about our mission as a generation with a "different spirit" - to INFLUENCE.

In Matthew 5:13-18 , Jesus called us the salt and light of the world. Both salt and light are agents of influence.

Salt influences by...
- giving taste
- preserving
- creating thirst

Light influences by...
- dispelling darkness
- revealing what is there and giving guidance

Take time to reflect upon this (even if you've been @ cell group this week):

Look at the following aspects in your life: speech and conduct, studies/work, relationships, passion, values and conviction.

Which of these do you see yourself making a positive influence in your home, school and church. Why?

Which are the areas do you not see yourself a positive influence e.g gossip, vulgarities, BGR, wordly desires etc? Why is it so? What will you do to increase your "saltiness in these areas? (Be practical!)

Share with someone! Let's be a brother/sister keeper in seeing ourselves fulfilling our mission to influence and make a difference in our campus (NTU!!!), workplace, home and church! Remember, your life influence. The choices you make will determine if you are a positive one or a negative one! Let's encourage one another to make the right choices.
