Hi NTU people!
I thought it would be nice to provide a quick update about my current status here!
I'm officially teaching in South View Primary School (it's very near to Daniel Ng's house...)
I'm teaching Primary 3 English, Maths, Science, Social Studies and PE. I'm also taking the P3 as a form class. My PE classes include 2 P4 classes as well...
I'm teaching in the afternoon session, but on average my day begins the same time as office people (around 7.30am - 8am these days) and end as late as 7pm. Once home, I will have to spend time planning, marking, and doing administrative work...
On Saturdays, I am involved with Boys Brigade which runs from 8am to 12pm. After which I will be roped in with the Track and Field team for training from 2 - 4pm in school gym. Exposure to youths and tertiary people may be minimal, but I still pretty much desire to hang around with young people! So sometimes I may retreat to my own hermit shell out of fatigue, but I may be game for a few chill out sessions or just gather to drink and do own things sessions too... Markings and plannings can come in... Hahaha!
Not boasting or lamenting about anything, but just to update you all, just in case you wonder where I am in weeks to come... It's really crazy as it's a massive transition for me... Keep me in prayers, nothing is impossible for God, if I choose to lean on Him, and keep my eyes on Him and not on the heavy workload...
Pray that I will be purpose driven and calling driven!
With love,
Ken Yeoh
