It's RAW.vember.
This special campaign month before the camp.
Yet, at the same time, it is the season where the pressure kicks in for most of us, especially those studying in NTU now and are about to start their exams this week. I don't think it'll be any easier for those who just started work, with the peak starting to creep in.
Here's something that I hope encourages.
You are forever in my life
You see me through the seasons
Cover me with Your hand
And lead me in Your righteousness
And I look to You
And I wait on You
I will sing to You, Lord
A hymn of love
For Your faithfulness to me
I'm carried in everlasting arms
You'll never let me go
Through it all
Hallelujah, hallelujah
This may be a season with great pressure and stress. It may be a season where you are adjusting with the demands of school/work. But let's bear in mind that God is faithful too see us through, whatever season you may find yourself it.
Trust in the Lord and do good.
Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.
Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you your heart’s desires.
Commit everything you do to the Lord.
Trust him, and he will help you.
He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn,
and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun.
Be still in the presence of the Lord,
and wait patiently for him to act.
Don’t worry about evil people who prosper
or fret about their wicked schemes.
Stop being angry!
Turn from your rage!
Do not lose your temper—
it only leads to harm.
For the wicked will be destroyed,
but those who trust in the Lord will possess the land.
Psalm 37:3-9
I can always remember a really tough semester, yet how God brought me through. Honestly, to date, I still know very clearly that I don't deserve those grades for that semester. Simply because I know I was struggling that badly that I didn't 'work' that hard to do well. I couldn't focus. But God was really good. And I firmly believe that without a doubt, He still is today.
I cannot say I fully know how it is like for those of you who are studying. I know some of you are really studying things that are challenging. I only know that God knows it full well. I pray that the above Scripture will encourage you to see that when you dare to trust God. He is good. I don't guarantee 'A's. That's not up to me to decide. But I can guarantee that whatever it is. When you dare to trust God and commit all that you are doing into His hands, as you walk in His will, you will possess the land. The land that is God's best. The land that is God's promised one. The land that overflows with abundance.
For those who are working, and I'm speaking to myself too, let's together trust God that God is God in all seasons. He is sovereign. He is in control. You are in good control when you allow Him to take charge. It may not be easy coping with the increasing workload, but let's trust in the One who is the same yesterday, today and forevermore! Amen?
